Mary Effie Brafford Smith

Mary Effie Brafford Smith, 77, of Kivett Court, Siler City died Monday, December 22, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Smith was born in Chatham County on December 17, 1937 the daughter of John and Mary (Brafford) Wicker. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her yard and caring for her animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Smith and son, Jessie Smith She is survived by two daughters: Lynda Moore and husband, Baxter of Siler City, NC, Rose Hart and husband, Raymond of Siler City, NC; sons, Willie Wayne, James Wesley, wife, Emma and Bobby Lynn Smith and wife, Margaret Ann of Goldston, NC; eight grandchildren, Crystal, Mark, Jessica, Josh and fiancee, Amber, Tanya, Samantha, Christy and Christopher and ten great-grandchildren. Lee Ann, Jeffrey, Lexie, Luke, Lily, Misty, Johnny, Aiden, Riley Jay, Lena The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 24, 2014 from 10:00-11:00AM at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church, 17475 US 64 W, Siler City, NC and other times and the home of the daughter, Lynda Moore. The funeral will be Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mark Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery, Bennett. Memorials may be made to Liberty Home Care and Hospice, 401 East Third Street, Siler City, NC 27344.
