Mary Draughon Faircloth

Mary Draughon Faircloth , 90, of Cliftwood Drive, Siler City, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Chatham Hospital, Siler City. Mrs. Faircloth was born in Sampson County on November 16, 1923, the daughter of William and Irene Bryant Draughon. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Siler City where she was active in Sunday School and the Missions Group. Mary was retired from Belk Yates as a sales associate. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Warren Faircloth, Sr.; her parents and eleven brothers and sisters. Mary is survived by her daughter, Ann F. Fulton of Siler City; son, Warren Faircloth and wife, Margaret of Hillsborough, NC; sister, Ruth Draughon Tew of Dunn, NC; grandchildren, Jeff Fulton, Heather Fulton-Brame and Laura Faircloth; great-grandchildren, Jesse Fulton and Richie Brame. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 1:00 - 2: 00 PM at the First Baptist Church, 314 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tony Capehart and Rev. Jim Wall officiating. Burial will be on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Faircloth Family Cemetery in Stedman, NC.
