Martha Jane White Routh

Martha Jane White Routh, 88, of Bear Creek died Saturday, March 31, 2018 at her home after years of declining health.

Mrs. Routh was born in Guilford County on February 18, 1930. The youngest child of Thomas Franklin and Lena Josephine White. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years John L. Routh; her brothers,William (Billy) White and Ross White.

She enjoyed going to the lake, gardening, going to yard sales and flea markets. Martha was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Bonlee, NC.

She is survived by daughter: Susan R. Pickeral of Bear Creek, brother: Thomas Gerald White (Laverne) of Siler City, two grandchildren; John D. Cox (Lisa) of Bear Creek, Beverly C. Goss (Gary) of Franklinville, great grand-children; Ashley and Amanda Cox, Lindsey, Tiffany and Gary (Bud) Goss.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hope Cemetery, Bonlee with Rev. Jim Petty officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Cemetery Fund, c/o Bonlee Baptist chuch, P O Box 75, Bonlee, NC 27312 The family would like to thank the Amedisys Hospice of Garner and especially her nurse, Camile.
