Martha Elizabeth "Lib" Branson Cook, 84, of Bonlee died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Cook was born in Montgomery County on December 6, 1932 the daughter of Bill and Myrtie (Elkins) Branson. Lib was a member of Bonlee Baptist Church, the Adult Sunday School Class #1 and was a homemaker and retired from Chatham Foods. She enjoyed ceramics, basket weaving, listening to Gospel music and traveling. Lib was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" W. Cook; her parents; son-in-law, Bobby Jourdan; brother, John Lee Branson; sister, Barbara Jean Branson.
She is survived by two daughters: Dianne Jourdan of Bear Creek, Michelle Marsh (David) of Bonlee; sisters, Mary Scott, Shirley Sanders, Betty Phillips and Helen Langley all of Siler City; grandchildren, Greg Jourdan (Jennifer), Bryan Jourdan (Tenessa), Brittany Marsh and Lindsay Marsh; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Hannah, Kyle, Hayden and Silas Jourdan.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hope Fellowship Hall. A graveside service will follow Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Hope Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Williams and Rev. Brandon Dobson officiating.
