Martha Cameron Dunlap

Martha Cameron Dunlap, age 81, Siler City died Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City. Martha was born March 9, 1935, the daughter of William and Leona Cameron. She was a 1953 graduate of Bonlee High School. Martha was a devoted member of both her church and community. She enjoyed various bridge and garden clubs. Martha was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Rachel Allred Sunday School Class, the Rogers Family Bible Study and was a former choir member. She also served on the church Benevolence and Hostess Committee where she was loved for her chocolate pies. Before retirement, Martha was employed with Chatham Hospital. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and UNC fan. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husbands: Chalmer P. Smith in 1987 and Henry H. Dunlap. Jr. in 2011, brothers: Leon Cameron, William A. Cameron, Harry Cameron; sister: Jean Crutchfield. She is survived by her daughter: Ann Smith Zumbach and husband, Scott Zumbach of Atlanta, GA; granddaughters: Jessica Rae and Audra Jade Zumbach; stepson: Isaac Hunter Dunlap and wife, Jill Dunlap of Macomb, IL; granddaughters: Laura Katherine and Sarah Elizabeth Dunlap; sister: Janice Cameron of Greensboro, NC; two brothers: David E. Cameron and his wife, Sarah Cameron of Summerton, SC, Reed Cameron and his wife, Eva Cameron of Panama City, FL and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. Memorial services will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City with Rev. Tony Capehart officiating.
