Marie Griffin Covert

Marie Griffin Covert, 94, of NC Hwy 902, Siler, City died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Genesis Center, Siler City. Mrs. Covert was born in Chatham County on February 20, 1920 the daughter of Ralph and Pauline (Smith) Griffin. She was a member of Meroney United Methodist and a homemaker. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Covert; her parents, Ralph and Pauline Griffin and a sister, Margie Beal. She is survived by one daughter: Joy C. Brewer of Bennett, NC; grandchildren, Pam Brady and husband, Phil of Bennett, NC, Jamie Whitt and wife, Tiffany of Bear Creek, NC; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one nephew and three nieces. The family will receive friends Friday, January 16, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Meroney United Methodist Church, 10568 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek, NC. The funeral will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Meroney United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Whittaker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
