Marianne Ivey Roberson

Marianne Ivey Roberson, 70, of Siler City passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City.

Mrs. Roberson was born in Durham County on September 9, 1951, the daughter of Millard Rose and Annabel Heath Ivey.

Marianne was a loving wife and mother. She adored her family and all her animals, especially her chihuahuas. Marianne always handled the affairs of their family construction business. In addition to her parents, Marianne is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Elliott and brother, John Coburn.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donnie Wayne Roberson, Sr.; sons, Donnie Wayne Roberson, Jr. of Siler City, Darrell Roberson and wife Joanna of Staley; sister, Virginia Taylor of Hillsborough; grandchildren, Logan and Lane Roberson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 N. Second Ave., Siler City, NC. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 1707 White Cross Rd., Chapel Hill, NC with Rev. Danny Creech officiating.
