Margaret "Peggy" M. Glosson, 88, passed away on March 18, 2012 at Whitestone, Masonic and Eastern Star Home in Greensboro, NC.
Peggy was born February 17, 1924 in Broadway, NC to the late Preston L. and Lilma A. Morris. She was a 1945 graduate of Rex School of Nursing in Raleigh, NC.
Peggy enjoyed a life of family and friends, and was the epitome of the phrase "never met a stranger'. She cared for others through her career as a registered nurse and filled each moment with activity whether it was gardening, sewing, knitting, painting, or playing bridge. She loved animals and was an avid bird watcher. She was a charter member of the Siler City Presbyterian Church and an active member in the Women of the year of the church and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter #9.
Survivors include three daughters, Dally Brown of Little River, SC; Deborah Hauser and husband, Eddie of Hillsborough, NC; DiAnne Jackson of Myrtle Beach, SC. Grandchildren include Laura H. O'Keefe and husband, Tom of Richmond, VA; James Jackson of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Lyndsay Brown of Little River, SC. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Glosson; son, William "Buddy" Glosson; infant twin daughters, Jane and June; granddaughter, Juliet Lorraine Jackson; and grandson, William Douglas "Buddy" Jackson.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Siler City Presbyterian Church, 720 West Third Street, Siler City, NC 27344. Visitation with the family will be at the church from 1:00-2:00.
