Margaret Allene Justice Brooks

Margaret Allene Justice Brooks, 95, of Wilmington, formerly of Siler City, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at Britthaven North Chase, Wilmington. Mrs. Brooks was born in Chatham County on December 9, 1917 the daughter of Pearle and Pearl (Tysor) Justice. She was a kind loving mother, hard working from a family of nine. Allene was a member of Hickory Mountain Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Bingo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, D. C. Brooks, Jr., infant son, Bobby Lee Brooks, four sisters, three brothers, son-in-law, Donnie Kelly, and a grandson, Jeff Kelly. She is survived by one daughter: Faye B. Kelly of Sanford, NC; two sons: Joe E. Brooks and wife, Suzy of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Wayne Brooks of Siler City, NC; one sister: Irma Langkamp and husband, Don of Springfield, VA; grandchildren, Richard Brooks of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Heather Brooks of Leland, NC, Lisa Rathy and husband, David of Asheville, NC, Scott Kelly of Sanford, April Bisese and husband, Tony of Asheboro, NC, Crystal Brooks of Asheboro, NC; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; special friend and former daughter-in-law, Gerry Brooks of Leland, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 2:00-3:00 PM. at Rives Chapel Baptist Church, 4258 Rives Chapel Rd., Siler City, NC. A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Tripp Foltz officiating.
