Maggie Mozelle Ellis Bright

Maggie Mozelle Ellis Bright, age 80, of 387 White Road, Siler City, NC 27344, died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Mrs. Bright was born March 5, 1931 the daughter of Hubert and Daisy "Roxie" Jones Ellis. Mrs. Bright was born in Chatham County and was a member of Hickory Mountain Methodist Church. One of her favorite past times was watching NASCAR, gardening and her beautiful flowers and fishing with her husband. She gained so much happiness from her family and her beautiful, cherished grandchildren. She also leaves her devoted pet, Jude, who was her constant and trusted companion for many years. Mozelle was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Curtis Bright. She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Lizzie Murray, Viola Murray and Patty Saunders Kime; five brothers: Paul, Walter, Clayton, Garland and Edward Ellis. She is survived by one son, Glenn Bright of Siler City; four daughters, Wanda (Danny) Stover of Bear Creek, Cherry (Larry) Jordan of Bear Creek, Teresa (Terry) Kidd of Robbins and Janet (Tom) Darr of Sanford; grandchildren: Jeffrey Glenn Bright of Arizona and Christopher Ralph Bright of Sanford, Caroline Stover Wright (Cody) of Asheboro, Charles Daniel Stover, Jr. (Victoria) of Bear Creek, Dana Michelle Rathbun (John) of Bear Creek, Larry Douglas Jordan, Jr. (Jessica) of Bennett, Stacee Brooke Beal (Wiley) of Goldston, Heidi Renee Guthrie (Ryan) of Hickory, Michael Terry and Misty Dawn Kidd of Robbins; great-grandchildren, Dakota Bright of Arizona, Camden Skyler Wright of Asheboro, Madelynn Elizabeth, Jacob Daniel and Natalie Alayna Stover of Bear Creek, Jonathan Gabrielle, Sierra Dawn and Devin Michael Rathbun of Bear Creek, Kaleb Douglas, Logan Nicholas, Kendall Grace and Layla Hope Jordan of Bennett, Addison Leigh Guthrie of Hickory, Landon Michael Kidd of Robbins, Madison Lois Davis and Michael Terry Kidd of Robbins. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home and other times at the home of Wanda Stover, 10526 Siler City-Glendon Road. The funeral will be Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Meroney United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Whittaker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
