Louise Daniel-Sparks, 82, of Siler City died Sunday, March 19, 2017 at UNC Hospital.
Mrs. Sparks was born in Guilford County on May 2, 1934, the daughter of Rennie Edward and Inez Hanner Poole. She attended Central High School in Greensboro. Her senior yearbook says she was "sweet in school … nice in all ways." If you knew Louise, you know this continued all her life … sweet and nice in all ways. Louise enjoyed traveling and listening to Gospel Music.
In January 1952, she married William Earl Daniel, Sr. She worked at Dixie Sales in Greensboro as a purchasing clerk for 34 years. Louise was an active member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church of Siler City where she worked with the youth group and other various committees. After the death of William Earl in 1988, Louise married Binford "Bunk" Sparks in 2002
Louise was preceded in death by her first husband; her parents and sister, Joanne Poole.
She is survived her children, Earl Daniel, Jr. and wife Gayle of Siler City; Jonathan and wife Sherry of Siler City; her sister, Jean Fryar and husband, Woody of Raleigh; grandchildren, Kelly D. Elkins of Siler City; Jonathan "JJ" Daniel of Los Angeles, CA; and great-grandson Tristin Elkins of Siler City; niece, Michelle Woolfolk and husband, Scott of Portland, Oregon; nephew, Jason Fryar and wife, Amy of Raleigh.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC and other times at the home of Jonathan Daniel, 101 Pine Forest Drive, Siler City. The funeral will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Piney Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Folks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
