Louis Paul DiBiase, age 95, passed away on January 10, 2025.

 Born June 23, 1929, to Antonio and Yvonne (Levesque) DiBiase, Louis grew up in Hazel Park, Michigan. Following his retirement, he moved to Rochester Hills, Michigan.

Louis served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he was an MP and earned a commendation for assisting with the evacuation of Seoul.

This led to a 36-year career with the Hazel Park Police Department concluding his career in the Detective Bureau and as a polygraph operator.

Louis was married to Shirley Johnson of Rochester, Michigan from October 9, 1954, to her death in 2017. They raised two children together, Susan and Thomas. 

 Louis is survived by children Susan Kirkman (Gary) and Thomas DiBiase (Cindy); grandchildren, Julie DiBiase (Rodney Bahner) and Michael DiBiase (Genevieve); and many nieces and nephews. 

 Preceding Louis in death are his parents, Antonio and Yvonne, wife Shirley, brothers John Bouchard and Tony DiBiase, and sister Madonna Perdue.

Louis was a talented wood worker, making beautiful furniture for his family in his free time. He also enjoyed visiting with family, baking for his family, and reading his Bible.

A memorial service to celebrate Louis’ life will take place at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Rochester Hills, Michigan on April 14, 2025 at 11am.

Smith & Buckner Funeral Home will be assisting the DiBiase family.
