Loretta Elizabeth Lloyd

Elizabeth Hunt Lloyd, 83, of Pittsboro died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Laurels Of Chatham, Pittsboro. Mrs. Lloyd was born in Sullivan County, Tennessee on May 15, 1931 the daughter of Doc Hunt and Alice Velma Hunt Phipps. Elizabeth was a former member of Kendrick's Creek Methodist Church in Kingsport TN and had been a telephone operator for Southern Bell for 34 years. She had been a resident of Laurels of Chatham for the last 10 years and enjoyed being a caregiver for others. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lloyd; daughters, Geneva Velma Primm, Virginia Kathleen Primm; her parents; one brother and three sisters. She is survived by daughter: Mischelle P. Blinsmon and husband, Terry of Siler City, NC; sisters: Louise McCracken of Blountsville, TN, Jean Overbay of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Elizabeth Mischelle Brown of Durham, NC, Marianne Elizabeth Blinsmon of Siler City, NC; great-grandchildren, Jason Lee Parker Barnes of Pittsboro, NC, Katy Lee Mischelle Barnes of Raleigh, NC and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Joy Baptist Church, 61 Bower Store Road, Siler City with Rev. Rodney Staley officiating. Lunch will be provided for family and friends following the memorial service at the church. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
