Lillian Johnson Bright

Lillian Johnson Bright, 86, of Bear Creek died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation Facility. Lillian was born in Chatham County on September 16, 1929, the daughter of Risden and Flossie Fisher Johnson. She was an active member of Bonlee Baptist Church and had worked for A. J. Schneierson for over 30 years. Lillian was active in her community, enjoyed the outdoors, including yard work, working with her flower gardens, and fishing. She was also an avid NASCAR fan. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Bright and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Betty Morgan of Bear Creek; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Bonlee Baptist Church and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Dowdy, 1042 Bonlee School Road, Bear Creek. The funeral service will follow Saturday at Bonlee Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Williams and Rev. Brandon Dobson officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Hospice, 1005 Carthage Street, NC 27330. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
