Leonard Anthony Fisher, 93, of 107 B Tripp Cottages Drive, Siler City died Friday, May 3, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro, NC.
Mr. Fisher was born on June 7, 1919 in Nashua, NH, the son of George A. and Agnes (Meehan) Fisher. Leonard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a ham radio operator, loved gardening and bird watching. Mr. Fisher served from 1937 -1959 in the US Navy as a Chief Quarter Master and was a life time member of the Fleet Reserve. He was a member and Elder of the Siler City Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 72 ½ years: Helen (Richards) Fisher; two sons: Richard A. Fisher and wife, Amelia of Staley, NC, L. Timothy Fisher of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 10:00 -11:00AM at Siler City Presbyterian Church, 720 W. 3rd St., Siler City, NC. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sue Flippin officiating with a 2 Bell ceremony.
Inurment will follow in the Salisbury National Cemetery with military rites at a later date.
