Lee Brown

Lee Brown, 56, of Joe Brown Road, Bear Creek died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Brown was born in Chatham County on December 18, 1958 the son of Robert E."Bobby" and Marlene (Clapp) Brown. Lee attended Brush Creek Baptist Church and had been a cattle farmer until his health began to fail. He was an outdoors man, who enjoyed deer hunting, wood working, fishing at the beach, watching western movies and time spent with his grandson. Lee was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife of 29 years: Linda (Stewart) Brown, daughter: Christy Brown Dixon and husband, Michael of Siler City, NC; sons: Brandon Brown and wife, Nikki of Pittsboro, NC, Aaron Brown and fiancee', Anna of Bear Creek, NC; mother, Marlene (Clapp) Brown of Bear Creek, NC; sister, Donna Sessoms and husband, Jackie of Bear Creek, NC; grandson, Jaxon Dixon; and brother-in-law, Jeff Stewart of Siler City, NC.; nephews, Jonathan and Jeremy Sessoms. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Friday, September 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Brush Creek Baptist Church, 5345 Airport Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Tim Strider and Rev. Neal Kight officiating.
