Larry Lineberry

Larry Shelton Lineberry, 68, of Siler City died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Larry was born in Randolph County on August 17, 1946, the son of Howard Shelton Lineberry and Swanna Jones Lineberry. Larry was a believer in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of Rives Chapel Baptist Church, Siler City. He worked many years as an automobile mechanic, having been a partner in the former L&L Automotive, Inc, Siler City. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Louise Varner, and a nephew, Tim Varner. Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Dowd Lineberry of Siler City; one son, Jeffrey S. Lineberry and wife, Heidi of Siler City, one daughter, Amber Lineberry Spach of Siler City; and grandchildren whom he cherished, Benjamin, Joshua and Andrew Lineberry, and granddaughter, Shelby Rae Spach; sister, Rita Jones of Asheboro; mother-in-law, Vera Dowd, several nieces and nephews, and his canine buddy, Jigzi. The family will receive friends Thursday at 1:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Luther Lemon officiating. Burial will follow at Rives Chapel Baptist Church, Siler City, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to UNC Hospice, P O Box 1077, Pittsboro. NC 27312, or a charity of donor's choice.
