Larry Hilton Fuquay, 75, of Siler City died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at UNC Hospitals.
Mr. Fuquay was born in Chatham County on July 25, 1941 the son of Gilbert Howard and Valinda (Lindley) Fuquay. Larry was a graduate of Silk Hope High School and an Army veteran of Vietnam. He was of the Methodist faith. Larry was retired from DCS-Yamas and enjoyed golf and gardening.
He was preceded in death by several siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Joan (Ashley) Fuquay; two sons: Ashley B. Fuquay of Greensboro and Adam H. Fuquay and wife, Kellie of Bear Creek; three sisters: Linda F. Stevens of Siler City, Ann F. Beaver of Bear Creek and Gayle F. Wright of Collinsville, VA.; grandchildren, Chase, Bryan, Carter, Blake, Chloe and Claire Fuquay.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Christian Church, 1712 Pleasant Hill-Liberty Road, Liberty with Pastor Josh Conrad and Rev. Howard Spray officiating. Inurnment will follow the service with military rites by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday, April 14, 2017 after the service in the church hut.
