LaNilta Brady Teague, 79, of Driftwood Drive, Siler City died Friday, August 8, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Teague was born in Chatham County on January 21, 1935, the daughter of Howard and Daphney (Scott) Brady.
She was retired as a Secretary and worked for Brewer Realty and Insurance Company, Country Connections and Collins & King C.P.A. LaNilta enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking and played the piano and organ for 43 years. She played for over one hundred weddings and numerous funerals. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. LaNilta was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Wendell.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Claude O. Teague, daughter: Kim Branson and husband, David of Lexington, NC; son: Reggie Teague and wife, Paula of Lexington, NC; brother: Jerry Brady and wife, Ann of Goldston, NC; grandchildren, Nathan and Austin Teague; Alex, Anna and Aiden Branson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 1:00-3:00 pm at First Wesleyan Church, 608 N. 3rd Ave., Siler City, NC. The funeral will follow at 3:00 PM, with Rev. Don Southern, Rev. Phillip Nelson and Rev. Dr. Jerry Foley officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
