Visitation will be from 1-2 PM and Burial will follow in Oakley Baptist Church Cemetery**** Kay White Purcell, 65, of New Hope Church Road, Asheboro died Sunday, February 9, 2014. Mrs. Purcell was born in Chatham County on August 3, 1948 the daughter of James and Irene (Edwards) White. She was employed by The Moll Plastic Company and was of the Baptist faith. Kay loved her family and her cats. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband: David Mark Purcell; mother, Irene (Edwards) White of Siler City; brothers, Roger White and wife, Judy of Siler City, NC, Tommy White and wife, Dorothy of Asheboro, NC and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Womack Keck officiating. Burial will follow in Oakley Baptist Church Cemetery, Siler City.
