Julian Ray Roberson

Julian "Pud" Ray Roberson, age 76, of Siler City died Thursday, September 24, 2020. Mr. Roberson was born September 14, 1944, a native of Nash County, NC, the son of Berry Moses and Ila Peele Roberson. Julian was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 31 years, Edith Roberson and brothers James, Edward and Willard Roberson. He loved children, especially his granddaughter Skyler. Julian liked spending time on his Cub, John Deere and Ford tractors mowing the fields., tending to the goats and cattle and visiting the stockyard. He is survived by sisters; Lillian Plummer of Pittsboro, Edna Hinnant of Kenly, Peggy Moon of Fargo, FL and Doris Barbee of Chapel Hill, brothers; Berry Roberson Jr of Chapel Hill, Willis Roberson of Pittsboro, Donnie Roberson of Siler City, step son; Randy Hilliard of Siler City, step granddaughter; Skyler Hilliard of Siler City, and several nieces and nephews which he loved. Mr. Roberson will lie in state on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Smith & Buckner funeral home. There will be a graveside service at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 17721 NC Hwy 902, Bear Creek on September 27, 2020 at 3:00 PM, with Rev Danny Creech officiating.
