Joyce Johnson Maness

Joyce Johnson Maness, 90, of Siler City passed away Friday, November 30, 2012. Mrs. Maness was born in Chatham County on May 31, 1922 the daughter of Ernest and Arizona (Adcock) Johnson. She was a retired textile worker, of the Baptist faith and a member of the Eastern Star #9. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Lennie Maness; her parents and brothers, Raymond Johnson, J. D. Johnson and Clifton Johnson. She is survived by one daughter: Beverly M. Allen and husband, Dan of Burlington, NC and one son: Billy Maness of Siler City, NC; grandson, Austin Allen; sister-in-law, Daisy Johnson. The family will receive friends Monday, December 3, 2012 from 9:45-10:45 AM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Burriss officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
