Jones Edward Thain

Jones Edward Thain, Jr., 77, of Siler City died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Thain was born November 17, 1940 the son of Jones Edward Thain Sr., and Doris Knight Thain.  Ed was a native of Columbia, SC, a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church and also an Air Force veteran. He retired as an anesthesiologist and enjoyed playing golf in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine Clark Thain; sister-in-law, Ruth Clark Holliday; brothers-in-law, Frank Clark and wife, Barbara; Dean Clark and wife, Nina; Robert Clark all of Siler City.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at Loves Creek Baptist Church, 1745 East 11th Street, Siler City. The funeral will be at 11:00 AM with Rev. Kenny Black and Dr. Lawrence Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
