Joe Cleanton "JC" Siler, Jr.

Mr. Joe Cleanton "JC" Siler, son of the late Dallas Alston and Mrs. Jessie Chaves Brewer was born on January 16, 1944. He departed this life on December 25, 2016 at 7:27 am, Christmas Morning. Joe Siler, formally known as "JC" was a resident of Siler City, NC all of his life. He was educated in the Chatham County Schools system and finished out his high school years at Chatham High School in Siler City, NC. His spiritual convictions led home to Gees Grove AME Zion Church at an early age. JC was a business owner. He became owner and operator of his own trucking company for many successful years. He started out working for Harold Andrews Trucking at an early age. He later purchased his first truck through Darryl Andrews, the son of the late Harold Andrews, which later became the startup of his very own trucking business called "Joe Siler Trucking". He retired his trucking business after 45 plus years of dedicated service. Mr. Joe Cleanton Siler leaves to cherish his memories six children: Joey, Tanga, Regina, Yolanda, Jay and Tiffany; two step-children, Angie and Tammy and a lifetime partner Julie Stewart. JC also leaves his cherished memories to two beloved sisters: Helen Siler and Shirley Clark both of Siler City; two brothers, Sterling Brewer (Madonna), Siler City, Dallas Earl "Rock" Alston, Pittsboro. JC has one dedicated niece, Sharon Anne Siler, Asheboro and two nephews, Douglas Brewer, Greensboro and James Alston, Siler City. His memories continue to be cherished by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Gees Grove AME Zion Church. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Chatham Charter High School, 2200 Hamp Stone Road, Siler City or to Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina, 1013 Carthage Street, Sanford, NC 27330.
