Joanne Skornia Klumb, 68, of Siler City-Glendon Road, Siler City died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Klumb was born November 1, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Frank and Gertrude (Prybyzylski) Skornia. She had been employed at A J Schneirson and later Glendale. She was raised in the Catholic faith but was a member of Hillbrook Wesleyan Church. Joanne enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, traveling and bowling.
She is survived by one daughter: Deboraha Stafford of High Point, NC; four sons: William Klumb and wife, Brenda of Siler City, NC, Ray Klumb and wife, Robin of Bahama, NC, Donnie Klumb of Siler City, NC, Keith Klumb and wife, Nancy of Graham, NC; sisters: Lorraine of Wind Lake, WI, Sister Jeannette of Chicago, IL, Mary Jane of Racine, WI, Diane of Brookfield, WI, Rosemary, Suzanne of Milwaukee, WI, Christaine and Nancy of Oak Creek, WI, Arelene and Janet of Siler City, NC; brother: John of Milwaukee, WI; six grandchildren, who will be serving as honorary pallbearers, Brandy, Marcus, Hannah, Sylvia, Katie and Greyson; five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 23, 2013 from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM at First Wesleyan Church, 608 North Third Avenue, Siler City. A memorial service will follow at the church with Rev. Dennis Boone officiating.
