Joanne Clark West

Joanne Clark West, 79, of 118 Acentala Court, Raleigh died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. West was born in Chatham County on April 3, 1935 the daughter of James Claude and Evangeline Brower Clark. Joanne was a teacher with more than 30 years of service, beginning her career at Henry Siler School. She was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Billy Ray West of the home; daughter: Amy W. Jones and husband, Wade of Mount Holly, NC; sons: David West and wife, Sherry, Mike West and wife, Shanna all of Raleigh; sisters: Elaine Thain and husband, Ed, Ruth Holliday all of Siler City, NC; brothers: Robert Clark, Frank Clark and wife, Barbara, Dean Clark and wife, Nina all of Siler City, NC; grandsons, Jordan and Sam Jones and Brodie and Gray West. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Rocky River Baptist Church, 4436 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Rocky River Baptist Church, with Rev. Greg Burriss officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
