Joanna "Jody" May Elliott Pearce

Joanna “Jody” May Elliott Pearce, 82, of Snow Camp, died Thursday, July 13, 2023.

Jody was born July 06, 1941, to Jim Wesley Elliott and Virginia Mae Bloxsom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus “Curley” Pearce and son, Stephen Neary and stepchildren, Mickey and Ricky  Pearce.

Mrs. Pearce had been missing the love of her life “Curley”. She loved her little dog Missy and loved being outdoors watching the farm animals.

Jody is survived by her daughter, Pearl Batchelder; numerous grandchildren;  stepdaughter, Lisa Brown; stepson, Gary Pearce; and cousins, Barry Johnson and wife, Penny and Keith Johnson.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Eli Whitiney Community Building, 3917 E. Greensboro-Chapel Hill Road, Snow Camp NC, 27349; from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. The internment will follow at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery.
