Jimmy Wayne Toler, 69, of Snow Camp joined his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City.
Mr. Toler was born in Johnston County on January 22, 1947, the son of Michael and Letha (Lane) Toler. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Siler City, served in the US Navy, was a licensed barber and had worked as a NC Correctional Officer. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing and will always be remembered as a " people" person with a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James B. and Jerry M Toler.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years: Dana (Newsome) Toler, two daughters: April Moore and husband, Michael of Princeton, NC, Alena McLendon and husband, Brian of Portsmouth, VA.; one son: Andrew Toler of Bagley, NC; one sister: JoAnne Rose of Smithfield; one brother: Jackie Toler of Bagley; twenty-one grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three step-children, Brock Hamm of Pikeville, Jennifer Langston of Siler City and Jeremy Hamm of Dudley.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City, NC. A celebration of life service will follow with Rev. Tony Capehart and Rev. Ricky Sullivan officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
