Jimmy Richard Moody, Sr.

Jimmy Richard Moody, Sr., 79, of 2317 Old US 421, South, Siler City died Sunday, October 4, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Moody was born in Chatham County on September 6, 1936, the son of James H. and Lottie Mae Cockman Moody. He was a retired truck driver for 35 years with Mountaire Farms. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Rita Denise Moody. He is survived by two daughters: Connie M. Riquelne and husband, Guillermo of Siler City, NC, Jamie M. Lee of Siler City, NC; two sons: Jimmy R. Moody, Jr. and wife, Sandi of Sunset Beach, NC, and Doug Moody of Siler City, NC; one brother: Kenneth E. Moody of Siler City, NC; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; wife Of 30 Years, Rebecca Cockman of Siler City, NC. A memorial service will held at a later date.
