Jerry Roger Keck of Siler City died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at UNC Hospitals. Mr. Keck was born in Chatham County on March 24, 1951 the son of James Monroe and Mazie (Tripp) Keck. Jerry was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Siler City Masonic Lodge #403 A.F.& A.M.. He had been employed with Mastercraft as a supervisor. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Clapp Keck; his parents and a brother, Richard Monroe Keck. He is survived by sisters-in-law, Carol Keck of Liberty, Benjie Fowler (Charlie) of Wendell; nephews, Richard Chad Keck (Carolyn) of Liberty, Lee Keck (Angela) of Creedmoor; great-nephews, James Coy Keck and Alan Dale Keck; special friend, Judy Nance. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City with Rev. Womack Keck And Rev. Tony Capehart officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City, NC 27344. Online condolences may be made at www.pughfuneralhome.com.
