Jeffrey David Allen, 46, of NC Hwy 22 South, Ramseur died at his residence. Mr. Allen was born in Chatham County on March 3, 1969 the son of David R. Allen and Lala (Cox) Allen Gibbs. He was a 1987 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School and attended Randolph County Community College for two years. Jeffrey was a former photographer for the Valdosta Daily Times in Valdosta, Georgia and had also worked for the Chatham News in Siler City. Jeffrey was a former employee of the State of North Carolina as a supply clerk. He attended Parks Cross Roads Christian Church and enjoyed photography. He also had a love for all animals and enjoyed hunting. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, David R. Allen; grandparents; Raymond and Irene Cox, Casper and Alberta Allen. He is survived by his mother, Lala (Cox) Allen Gibbs; step-father, Milburn D. Gibbs of Siler City, NC; sister, Melyssa Allen of Raleigh, NC, step-sisters, Rozanna Elsenpeter of Fullerton, CA., Raoqi Dulman of Woodland, CA; step-nephews, Hunter, Grant and Trent Elsenpeter A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Chatham Memorial Park, 13260 Hwy 64 West, Siler City with Rev. Bob Wachs and Rev. Randy Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, July 3, 2015 following the graveside service at the residence of his mother, Cliftwood Drive, Siler City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jay Spence Memorial Fund, Triangle Community Foundation, 324 Blackwell Street, Suite 1220, Durham, NC 27701.
