Janice Maxine Shuler Buckner

Janice Maxine Shuler Buckner, 92, of 67 Bynum Perrell Drive, Bear Creek, NC died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Lee Co. Nursing and Rehabalitation, Sanford. Mrs. Buckner was born in Michigan on November 19, 1920 the daughter of Walter and Eda (Perkins) Shuler. She had been employed with the state of Michigan working in Social Services for adult handicapped. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Buckner; her parents and brothers, Gordon and Keith Shuler. She is survived by one daughter: Mary Ann Buckner Easter, and husband, Mark of Bear Creek, NC; son, Henry David Buckner and wife, Beth of Pine Level; two sisters: Joyce Foster of Gladwin, MI, Barbara Moler of St. Petersburg, FL., seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at Whitley Memorial Methodist Church, Smithfield, NC with Rev. David Adams officiating. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
