Janet Elaine Gallagher

Janet Cummings Gallagher, 70, of Staley died Saturday, July 26, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Gallagher was born on April 17, 1944, the daughter of Minter Hicks and Margaretta Helen (Wolford) Cummings. Mrs. Gallagher was a native of Cowen, West Virginia and a homemaker. Janet raised rabbits, enjoyed fishing, bingo, traveling to Cherokee, metal detector (treasure) hunting, panning for gold and singing. She is survived by her husband: Joseph E. Gallagher, of the home, sons: Brian E. Gallagher and wife, Patricia of Fayetteville, NC, Brent L. Gallagher and wife, Allison of Ft. Myers, FL., grandchildren; Nicole Gallagher, Nicholas Gallagher, Richard Gallagher and Ayla Gallagher. Sister; Judith Prater and husband Allen of Beckley, WV. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC.
