James Prosser McMahon

James Prosser McMahon, age 94 of Siler City died Friday, January 31, 2020 at Genesis Healthcare, Siler City. Mr. McMahon was born August 2, 1925 in Monongahela, PA, the son of Malcolm and Mary Eva Prosser McMahon. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He settled in Siler City in the early '60s. He was a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice skating and gardening. He was dedicated to his family and was most comfortable in his recliner at home telling stories to family, friends and neighbors. He was always willing to help people and taught numerous kids to swim and skate. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. Above all, he loved his community, family and neighbors and will be missed by many. James was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nellie Gray McMahon. He is survived by his son: Mike McMahon and wife, Sally of Virginia Beach, VA; Grandchildren: Sarah Gray McMahon, Samuel Aidan McMahon, and Dylan James McMahon.
