James "Bo" Lee Moody, 60, of 239 Plainfield Church Road, Siler City died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Moody was born in Chatham County on January 11, 1953 the son of Charles "Bill" Lee and Peggy (Hargrove) Moody. He was a 1971 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School where he played football. He attended Central Carolina Community College for two years and work for twenty years in the maintenance department of Collins & Aikman. Bo was a member of Plainfield Friends Meeting. In his spare time enjoyed making walking sticks and working with various other projects. He is survived by his wife of 22 years: Cathy (Landreth) Moody; parents, Charles "Bill" Lee and Peggy (Hargrove) Moody, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Plainfield Friends Meeting Cemetery, 1956 Plainfield Church Road, Siler City, NC 27344 with Pastor, Larry McEntire and William Fields officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 21, 2013 following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall and and other times at the home of his parents, 2090 Silk Hope-Liberty Road, Siler City. Memorials may be made to Plainfield Friends Meeting Church Building Fund, C/O Iris Terry, 7400 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City, NC 27344. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
