James "Jim" David Brower, Sr., 86, of Siler City died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Chatham Hospital.
Mr. Brower was born in Randolph County on July 3, 1931 the son of George and Emma York Brower. Jim was a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church, an Army Veteran of the Korean War and the owner-operator of Siler City Radiator for 25 years.
Jim was preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Hubbard; his parents; brothers, Alfred, Jack, Hayworth, Frank and Mack; sisters, Jeanette Frazier and Mozelle Stout.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ella (Gaines) Brower, one daughter: Patty B. Hubbard and husband, Jeff of Durham; one son: James D. (Jimmy) Brower, Jr. and wife, Darlene of Ramseur; brother, Bill Brower of Ramseur; grandchildren, Derek and Kiersten Brower, Robert Hubbard and wife, Maggie and Lauren Hubbard.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Loves Creek Baptist Church, 1745 East 11th Street, Siler City. The funeral will be Thursday at 3:00 PM at Loves Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Black and Rev. William Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
