James "Jamie" Palmer Binkley, 49, of Goldston died Monday, February 19, 2018.
Mr. Binkley was born in Chatham County on July 9, 1968 the son of James Eugene Binkley, Jr. and Linda (Beal) Binkley. Jamie attended Cornerstone Baptist Church, had worked for Advance Auto Parts as manager and at Lowes for 23 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Elmer Gray Southern.
He is survived by one sister: Jennifer B. Layton of Chapel Hill; step-mother, Julia Atwater of Pittsboro; grandmother, Lilly Fields Beal of Goldston; step-sister, Kim Kitchings and husband, Chip of Cary; nieces and nephew, Gracelyn, Chase, and Caroline; uncles, Bobby Binkley and of Bear Creek, Melvin Beal, Jr. of Goldston; aunts, Bet Blakeley, Hope Stevenson and Ann Homesley all of Goldston.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City. The funeral will be Friday, February 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 396 NC Hwy 42, Goldston with Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
