James Thomas Coward, 67, of Siler City, died Thursday, November 28, 2024, at his home.
Thomas was born June 5, 1957, in Chatham County. He was the son of the late James M. Coward and Sallie Cornelia Smith Coward Buckner. Thomas was a 1975 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School. He was the owner operator of his own Lock Smith Company. He also worked for many years at Spence Building Supply then Home Builders. Thomas enjoyed collecting coins, playing cards, reloading shot gun shells, hunting and listening to Bluegrass music.
Thomas is survived by his sons, Victor Coward and wife Callie and Tucker Coward and wife Maci, all of Ramseur; 3 grandchildren, Carson, River, and Suttyn; and sister, Sara Coward Culberson.
A graveside memorial will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery.
