James Clemmon Patterson

James Clemmon Patterson, 90, of 118 Olde Manor Court, Siler City died Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Patterson was born in Harnett County on September 22, 1922 the son of Glover K. and Ella Francis (Nordan) Patterson. He was a WW II veteran of the Air Force. He was employed by A J Schneierson for 26 years where he was a Supervisor and also worked for 19 years at Selig Manufacturing. James was a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church where he served in leadership positions including the church choir and the Jubilee Choir. James was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Angell Patterson. He is survived by his wife: Susan (McLeod) Patterson; one daughter: Joan and Lynn Coley of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Chris Johnson and Kate of Cary, NC, Danielle and Sean Mehaffey of Greensboro, NC, Scott and Kassi Johnson of Edmond, OK; step-daughters, Cindy Gunter of Sanford, NC and Penny Gunter of Pittsboro, NC; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Emily, Kennedy, Landon, Reagan and Harper "Henry"; sister, Pat Stone and Jim of Siler City; brother, Lee Patterson and Sue. of Sanford. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Loves Creek Baptist Church. A memorial service will be Sunday, October 14, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Loves Creek Baptist Church, 1745 East 11th Street, Siler City with Rev. Bob Boyd officiating.
