Jacqueline (Jackie) Willis

Jacqueline (Jackie) Willis, age 66, of Siler City died Saturday, June 20, 2020. She was born on June 19, 1954, in Queens, NY, the daughter of Charles and Lavernia (Vandergriff) Willis. Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Willis, her sister, Sandra Brothers and her niece, Sharnai Brothers. Ms. Willis is survived by her mother, Lavernia Vandergriff Harris, step-father, Meliton Arce; brother, Charles Willis, Jr.; niece, Monique Gregory; nephews, Michael Gregory II, Barry Brothers, Jr. and Jared Fontaine; great nieces, Reanicia Brothers, Morgan, Megan and Marissa Gregory. She was baptized as one of the Jehovah's Witness June 19, 1969. She was faithful to very end spreading God's word through letters. She was an LPN of many years which was her calling. She had a special gentle touch to handle the most delicate patients. She had many interest - music, health, language, reading and more. She played the clarinet, violin and piano. She briefly was a member of the North Carolina Symphony in Southern Pines playing the violin. She was in her glory when shopping and finding a bargain. She loved to talk and was well versed on most topics. She offered herself willingly to her friends and family and will be dearly missed. Friends and family may come by on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 12:00 til 5:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will also be live streamed on Zoom.
