Jack Kidd

Jack Kidd, 82, of Hickory Mountain Baptist Church Road, Siler City died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Laurels Of Chatham, Pittsboro. Mr. Kidd was born in Chatham County on September 11, 1933 the son of Eli and Grace (Hussey) Kidd. Jack was a member of First Baptist Church of Siler City and retired from Jack Cartwright Furniture of High Point as an upholsterer. He was an avid golfer, UNC TarHeel fan, and loved his canine companion, Daisy. He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Helen (Glass) Kidd; son Kenny Kidd and wife, Gidget of Asheboro; grandchildren, Mary Beth Kidd and Wilson Kidd; brother, Howard Kidd; nephew, Billy Kidd and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City, NC. The funeral will follow Thursday at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Wall, Rev. Tony Capehart and Rev. William Allen officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Mountain Baptist Cemetery, Siler City.
