Jack Hudson

Jack Hudson, 84, the fifth child of fourteen born to George Adam and Beulah Fox Hudson died December 8, 2012 at his home on Preacher Davis Road, Haw River, NC after several months failing health. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia "Jenny" Wicker; second wife, Kathy Martin; brothers, Clyde T. Hudson, Sr., Charles Murph "C.M." Hudson, Cletus Hudson, George Junior Hudson and Hubert Hudson. Jack retired after 47 years with Kayser Roth. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He was in every sense of the word a "Family Man". He loved his family. He worked hard and was truly a "Jack of All Trades". He could do anything he set his mind to whether it be woodwork, plumbing, yard work, cleaning house or cooking, Jack did it all and did it well while raising a family without an earthly helpmate. Jack depended on His Heavenly Father. He is survived by four sons: Jackson M. Hudson of Bozeman. Montana, Christopher Hudson, Steven W. Hudson, Chad E. Hudson and wife, Becky all of Haw River; sisters, Georgia H. Barth, Betty H. Albright (Jesse), Shirley H. Lindley; Joyce Bowers (Sherman) Jean H. Dark (Sonny), Faye H. McMath; brothers, Bobby Hudson (Becky) all of Siler City, Howard Hudson of Archdale; grandchildren, Katie, Jacob, Joshua and Jenny Hudson and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 12:30 - 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Andrew Needham officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City.
