Jack Hayes, 76, of Siler City-Glendon Road, Siler City died Friday, January 22, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Hayes was born in Chatham County on January 22, 1940 the son of Ralph Thomas and Wilma Phillips Hayes. He was the owner of J & H Upholstery. He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Virginia (Jenny) Hayes; one daughter: Tammy Bolton and fiancé, Daniel Light of Siler City, NC; one son: Dale T. Hayes of Bear Creek, NC;three sisters: Irene H. Atkins of Siler City, NC, Barbara Ann Tesh of Robbins, NC, Shirley H. DeBord of Siler City, NC; four brothers: Hobert Hayes of Bear Creek, NC, Joe Hayes of Goldston, NC, Raeford Hayes of Bear Creek, NC, John Henry Hayes of Robbins, NC; grandchildren, Jenny, Emily, and Tammy J. Bolton The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, 5946 Pleasant Grove Church Rd., Bennett with Rev. Reggie Rakes and Rev. Michael Crigler officiating.
