Irene Trogdon Vann, 79, of John Emerson Road, Siler City died Monday, November 11, 2013 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. Mrs. Vann was born in Randolph County on April 17, 1934 the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt and Lina Walters Trogdon. Irene was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she served as pianist for 32 years. She had been employed as a teacher's assistant and self- employed as an interior decorator. Irene was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 56 years: R. Rawdon Vann of the home; one daughter: Traci V. Johnson and husband, Jerry Wayne Johnson of Easton, MA; one son: Gregory A. Vann of Newnan, GA; three brothers: William Trogdon and wife, Ann, Bruce Trogdon and wife, Doris, Vernon Trogdon and wife, Judy all of Asheboro, NC; grandsons, Maxwell Scott Johnson and Samuel Wayne Johnson. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 10:00-11:00AM at Fellowship Baptist Church with the service following at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jason Golden and Rev. Bob Griffith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, 120 Fellowship Church Road, Siler City, NC 27344.
