Iola Pilkington Walls

Iola Pilkington Walls, 83, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011. Iola was born June 24, 1928 in Pittsboro, North Carolina. She lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and then moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida in 1964. Iola was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was married 59 years to Richard Walls who passed away in June 2011. She is survived by three children; Rich Walls, Jr., Deniese Billings and Debbie Dowds and her granddaughter, Danielle Dowds; a brother, Jimmy Pilkington of Pittsboro, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Antioch Christian Church, 246 Antioch Christian Church Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Clark Davis officiating.
