Howard Glenn "Junie" Poe, 81, of Silk Hope Road, Siler City died Friday, August 12, 2016 at Chatham Hospital, Siler City. Mr. Poe was born in Chatham County on April 24, 1935 the son of Glenn and Annie Ruth (Fox) Poe. He was employed as an upholsterer for over 40 years with Boling Chair. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and time spent with his family. Howard was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Whitey" Poe; his parents; brother, Kenneth Poe and a sister, Margie Davis. He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Barbara (Stinson) Poe; two daughters: Rhonda Poe Stevens and husband, Jeff of Ramseur, and Donna Poe Owensby and husband, Gary of Siler City; two sons: Michael Poe and wife, Cheryl of Bear Creek and Stevie Doug Poe of Siler City; brother, Gene Poe; grandchildren, Melissa and Tyler Stevens, Bubba Owensby, Rebecca, Zack and Madison Poe; great-grandchildren, Serinity and Colton Stevens ,Faith Owensby. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Chatham Memorial Park, 13260 Hwy 64 West, Siler City with Rev. Darrell Garner officiating.
