Hermis Margie Overman

Hermis Margie Overman, 89, of Staley, passed away surrounded by her family at her home on Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Hermis was born in Randolph County on October 29, 1933, the daughter of John and Myrtle Hackney Overman.

She was a member of Community Baptist Church. Hermis was a simple lady, she loved her home and her dog Sadie. She was a very hard worker, retiring after 48 years with Collins & Aikman. Hermis enjoyed spending time cooking for her family. She is preceded in death by her son, Timothy Marley.

Hermis is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Langley and husband Tim of Staley, and Kathy Spivey of Sanford; son, Danny Cockman of Liberty, grandchildren, Kasey Beck and husband Art, Stephanie Staley and husband Brian, Marissa Noller and husband Tylor, Samantha Langley, and Courtney Cockman; and 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Moon's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, 175 Moon's Chapel Rd., Siler City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an Alzheimer's Association of your choice.
