Henry Carl Morgan

Henry Carl Morgan, Jr., 83, of Eastway Drive, Bear Creek died Friday, January 16, 2015 after a brief illness. Mr. Morgan was a native of Boydton, Virginia, the son of Henry C. Morgan, Sr. and Mary Lucille (Layton) Morgan. He was a Navy veteran and a member of Antioch Christian Church. Henry retired as superintendent of Cuddy Farms and had also worked at Webster's Poultry, Pittsboro. He loved sports cars, enjoyed collecting yoyos, spending time with family and friends and watching old movies. Henry was preceded in death by children, Mary Lucille and Dewey; brothers and sisters, Garland, Dolly and Mildred. He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Betty (Johnson) Morgan; sons, Dennis, Richard and Tim; daughters, Deborah and Connie; grandchildren, Kenny, Amy, Henry, Christopher, Daniel, Christine, Thomas, Denise, John Henry, Morgan, Sharein, Brandy, Josh, Mitchell, Kendall, Jake, Staci and Stephen; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kenny, Eddie, Kelly, Tyler, Ryan Christopher, William, McKenzie, Lilly, Caitlin, Gavin, Connor, Nicholas, Jonathan, Chapman, Italia, Guss, Khole, Colton and Saylor. The family will receive friends Monday, January 19, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall of Antioch Christian Church, 246 Antioch Christian Church Road, Bear Creek, NC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Christian Church, with Rev. Ed Hart and Rev. Michael Harper officiating.
