Helen Shepherd Webster

Helen Shepherd Webster, 87, of Siler City died Monday, October 21, 2013 at Siler City Care. Mrs. Webster was born in Randolph County on November 15, 1925 the daughter of James and Bessie (Coble) Shepherd. She retired from Glendale Hosiery as a seamstress. Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Esther Sunday School Class, Joy In The Morning Senior Citizens Group and the Highfill Circle. She enjoyed sewing in her free time. Helen was preceded in death by her husband Reid Webster. She is survived by one daughter: Judy W. York and husband, Ritchie of Liberty, NC; son: Jerry R. Webster of Burlington, NC; grandchildren, Tammy, Kelli, Blake and Jay ; great-grandchildren, Khloe and Skyler ; best friends, Gladys Fesmire, Mary Lois Clark and Bonnie Davis. The family will receive friends Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344. A graveside service will follow Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Hickory Mountain Baptist Church, 1094 Mt. Vernon-Hickory Mountain Road, Siler City with Rev. Tony Capehart officiating.
