Hazel Willett Patterson

Hazel Willett Patterson, 91, of Edward Hill Church Road, Siler City died Monday, October 27, 2014 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. Mrs. Patterson was born in Chatham County on December 11, 1922 the daughter of Steven Herbert and Sue (Trogdon) Willett. Hazel was a 1939 graduate of Bonlee School, a member of Edward Hill Friends Meeting where she was a former recording clerk and had served on the cleaning committee. She retired from A J Schneierson and Sons, enjoyed reading and working in her flower garden. Hazel was preceded in death by a son, James Anderson Patterson, Jr.; brother, Ernest (Dick) Willett and a sister, Hilda Jane Willette. She is survived by daughters: Janice P. Shelton of Liberty, NC, Sharon P. Walker and husband, Darrell of Franklinville, NC ;sons: Gerald W. Patterson, Robert V. Patterson and wife, Carolyn both of Siler City, NC; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Edward Hill Friends Meeting, 92 Ed Leonard Road, Siler City, NC and other times at the home of Carolyn and Bob Patterson, 4707 NC Hwy 421 South, Siler City. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Edward Hill Friends Meeting with Josh Conrad officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
